We met at Curalate Inc. in 2014 and, combined, spent over 12 years there, eventually managing many engineers and teams as Directors of Engineering. With daily deployments and monthly feature releases, we saw first-hand the value and importance of simple "smoke" tests. The existing solutions ranged from browser extensions fooled by cookies, or writing explicit, text-based plans for human testers that took hours to run. With Todd's experience and expertise in leading various product teams, and Fitz specializing in distributed systems and infrastructure, we realized it should be possible to automate these repeated manual QA tests we were performing. Reflect is our output: a zero-code, zero-installation tool for recording and executing UX tests.
